Clear and unambiguous terms governing the use of VISAR Edge desktop software, safety permissions, and autonomous tools.
Acceptance & Agreement Scope
In plain English: By downloading, installing, or using VISAR Edge, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please uninstall and discontinue using the application.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Devansh Sharma (RootDeveloperDS) ("Developer", "we", "us"), governing your access to and use of the VISAR Edge desktop software application, backend services (visar-backend.onrender.com), and associated web services.
License Grant & Intellectual Property
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and execute VISAR Edge on devices you own or control.
Ownership Rights
All visual interfaces, source code, holographic shader effects, custom icons, brand assets, and sound design of VISAR Edge are the intellectual property of Devansh Sharma / RootDeveloperDS. You retain full ownership of any personal notes, documents, or data you process through VISAR Edge.
Acceptable Use & Prohibited Activities
To protect both our systems and your own PC, you agree NOT to use VISAR Edge for:
Creating malware, executing unauthorized terminal attacks, or scanning unauthorized networks.
Attempting DDoS attacks, credential stuffing, or reverse-engineering backend authentication tokens.
Using screen capture or voice tools to secretly record or spy on individuals without legal consent.
Violating the acceptable use policies of connected AI providers (Google, Groq, Tavily, etc.).
Autonomous System & Terminal Tools
Important Notice: VISAR Edge includes powerful tools that can execute shell commands on your operating system (execute_terminal), launch software (open_app), terminate processes (close_app), and read/write the clipboard.
All critical execution capabilities are disabled by default (Allow_Terminal = false). By choosing to enable these permissions in your settings or config.json, you acknowledge and agree that:
- 1.User Responsibility: You assume full responsibility for any terminal command or process termination suggested by the AI and executed on your host machine.
- 2.No Automatic Liability: The developer is not liable for unintended file modifications, application closures, data loss, or system instability caused by terminal commands.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) & Third-Party APIs
VISAR Edge allows users to input their own personal API keys for services like Google Gemini, Groq Cloud, Tavily Search, and OpenWeatherMap.
• Billing & Quotas: Any API fees or rate limits incurred on your personal third-party accounts are strictly between you and that provider.
• Provider Terms: You agree to comply with the terms of service of each respective AI vendor (e.g. Google Generative AI Terms, Groq Terms of Service).
Windows Deep Storage Cleaner Disclaimer
VISAR Edge includes a built-in utility named Windows Deep Storage Cleaner (WDC) designed to free up disk space by clearing temporary directories, shader caches, browser temporary files, and log dumps.
Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS")
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
VISAR Edge is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We make no warranty that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every PC configuration, or that AI-generated responses will be 100% accurate.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall developer Devansh Sharma, RootDeveloperDS, or any contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, hardware malfunction, loss of profits, or business interruption) arising from your use of or inability to use VISAR Edge.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Madhya Pradesh, India.
Amendments & Developer Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. When updates are published, the revised effective date will be posted at the top of this page. Your continued use of VISAR Edge after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
